As a family member or carer of someone affected by ADHD, you’re likely no stranger to feelings of isolation, frustration, and overwhelm. Constantly juggling daily routines, meltdowns, and emotional turmoil can leave you exhausted.
But the thing is, you are not alone. There are so many families and carers out there who know your journey, your struggles, and your triumphs. And when we come together, share our experiences, and support one another, something truly remarkable happens.
Regular meetups and support groups are a godsend to families with ADHD. They provide an avenue to share advice, encouragement, and empathy in a nonjudgmental environment. They help reduce stress, improve mental wellbeing, and increase feelings of connection and community.
Take the example of Jom Charity’s work with At Ease with ASD and The Lennox Partnership; we can bring about awareness, inclusivity, and acceptance into society. By collaborating to nurture ADHD families, we’ll be working together to bring changes that enhance lives!
