The Truth About Drugs !(Young Scot cost of living & wellbeing alleviation)

Physical and Mental Effects of drugs abuse

Substance use disorder can lead to short- and long-term negative health effects. These can be physical and mental, ranging from moderate to severe. They will depend on the substance a person had been using.

Invest in your Mental Health

It is important to learn and tune in to how you are feeling and what you are feeling to be exact. One way to do that is by journaling and meditating. Once you acknowledge how you are feeling if you have any symptoms that are causing distress then contact a mental health provider.
CHILDREN: THE MOST INNOCENT VICTIMS OF CRACK COCAINE
The most innocent victims of crack cocaine are babies born to mothers who use the drug during pregnancy. The March of Dimes, a nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health, reports that use of cocaine in either powdered or crack form during pregnancy can affect a woman and her unborn baby in many ways. During the early months of pregnancy, it may increase the risk of miscarriage. It also may cause an unborn baby to have a stroke, permanent brain damage or heart attack.
Cracks and Cocaine

Crack is so immediately addictive that many addicts have even theorized that it was developed and disseminated as part of a government conspiracyIt is a central nervous system stimulant, which means that it speeds up activity in your brain. Of course, this doesn’t mean crack makes you smarter; instead, it just makes you feel smarter, and this false sense of confidence can lead to a host of problematic and dangerous choices.

Drug use can lead to serious changes in the brain that affect how a person thinks and acts. It can also cause other medical problems, even death. Some drugs can cause heart disease, cancer, lung problems, and mental health conditions, like depression. A few drugs can even kill cells in your brain and body and make it hard to walk and talk and understand what’s happening around you.

Developing an addiction to drugs isn’t a character flaw or a sign of weakness, and it takes more than willpower to overcome the problem. Abusing illegal or certain prescription drugs can create changes in the brain, causing powerful cravings and a compulsion to use that makes sobriety seem like an impossible goal. But recovery is never out of reach, no matter how hopeless your situation seems or how many times you’ve tried and failed before. With the right treatment and support, change is always possible.
