Afro Celtic Textiles Art Exhibition

The National Lottery funded JOM Charity’s Afro-Celtic Textile Art Exhibition, “Re-Generation” will take place in September 2021, in Milngavie, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.

The local Art and Culture Center, JOM Charity, joined by her collaborators including Johfrim Art and Design and her affiliate Kakofoni are celebrating after being awarded a much appreciated funding by The National Lottery Community Fund to organise this pioneering project and events in Milngavie.

Residents and local businesses are extremely excited and supportive of their beautiful town of Milngavie located in the suburbs of Glasgow being given this magnificent opportunity to host The Afro-Celtic Textile Art Exhibitions and International Culture Festival.  Some members of Milngavie Business Development District BID are also supporting this marvellous project and events.

The project is aimed at building stronger relationships between African, Scottish & other communities in Scotland. It’s purpose is to create better interrelationship between them. The workshops, activities and exhibitions are projected to give participants something special, that allows them to interact with others thereby alleviating, isolation, loneliness, depression and other mental health & wellbeing challenges.

Stands with delicious food & drinks tasters from local businesses and African Restaurants.

The raffle will raise funds for Myeloma UK, Red Cross, Scottish Children’s Hospices, Men Matter, Scotland, Erskine caring for Veterans, The Aged at Fraser Center, Milngavie, Red Cross.
