Honouring the True Mighty Mouse: John Oboh
When people hear the name Mighty Mouse, many think of the American animated superhero created in the 1940s. But in Nigeria and across Africa Mighty Mouse means something entirely different.

Our Mighty Mouse is John Oboh, the cultural innovator, producer, former DJ, dancer, and visionary who created Ajegunle Music, the sound that shaped a generation and transformed AJ City into one of Nigeria’s most influential creative hubs.

His work stands at the centre of JOM Charity’s Black History Month 2026 celebrations, where we honour African creativity, migration stories, and Scotland’s multicultural evolution.
